What we do

Chess Governance

We govern the chess play in the Greater Toronto Area.

Represent Nationally

We represent the regions interests in the Ontario Chess Association and Chess Federation of Canada through elected representatives.

Represent Internationally

We help provide the connections for FIDE and the International Chess Federation to build events and activities in the region.

Organize Tournaments

We help ensure that Toronto's main events are hosted smoothly every year such as the Toronto Open, Blitz, Rapid, Team League, and Closed Championships.

Develop Chess

We help develop new chess organizations, arbiters, players, and opportunities within the GTA.

Uphold Standards

We help ensure the standards of Toronto chess are held to some of the highest in Canada and the world.
